Canon Richard Hearn KCHS
Cathedral Dean

Canon Richard was appointed Cathedral Dean by Archbishop Peter on 1st March 2015. The Dean is responsible for the cathedral parish and for all aspects of the running of the cathedral and the Amigo Hall. He is assisted in this task by the cathedral clergy and cathedral staff. There is a close relationship between St George's Cathedral and Southwark Anglican Cathedral and Canon Richard is a member of the Bishop's Council for Southwark Cathedral. He is also a member of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre and involved in the work of the Order supporting the Church in the Holy Land. Before arriving at the cathedral Canon Richard was a full-time prison chaplain and remains the Diocesan Advisor on Prison Chaplaincy.

Father Oladele Craig

Fr Oladele Craig - "Fr Ola" as he is commonly known, arrived at St George's Cathedral in September 2014 after two years as Assistant Priest at Holy Ghost Church Balham. Fr Ola is the Sub-Dean of the Cathedral and the Cathedral's Master of Ceremonies. He also oversees the bookings of the Cathedral for various services and events. He coordinates the parish Confirmation Programme and he is also responsible for couples planning to get married in the Cathedral as well as parishioners planning to get married elsewhere. He is a part-time Chaplain to St Thomas' and Guy's hospitals and School Chaplain to the Notre Dame School, St George's Road.

Father Paul Kyne

Fr Paul commenced study for priesthood in 2009 in Rome and completed his studies at St John's Seminary, Wonersh, Surrey. He is involved with First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion Preparation and the RCIA Programme. He also coordinates infant Baptism and regularly participates at our adjacent St George's Primary School.

Father Stephen Haines
Assisting Priest (Retired)

Father Stephen is semi-retired and usually assists at the cathedral at the weekends. With the permission of the Archbishop Fr Stephen is an elected member of the Court of Common Council of the Corporation of London. This is an unpaid non-political role and enables Fr Stephen brings a Catholic perspective to the deliberations of the council. Fr Stephen has strong connections to the Philippines and spends time there every year where he ministers to the local Catholic Community.



John Howard
Southwark Seminarian

John is a fourth year seminarian for the Archdiocese of Southwark. He will be spending this academic year at the Cathedral. This is an opportunity for him to gain pastoral experience and experience the day to day life of a priest first hand. He will be helping with Catechesis at the Cathedral and spending time at Notre Dame Secondary School, St Georges Primary School, as well as making visits to St Thomas' Hospital.
