St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, formally the Metropolitan Cathedral Church of St George, is the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Southwark, which covers the London boroughs south of the Thames, the county of Kent and the Medway Unitary Authority.

Music
St George's Cathedral has a well-established musical tradition, with a diversity of styles represented at the different Masses, ranging from congregational hymns and Mass settings at the 10am Family Mass sung by the Cathedral Consort youth choir, through plainsong and polyphony at the 12pm Solemn Mass sung by the Cathedral Choir of choristers and lay clerks. There is also a Junior Choir for younger children and the Cathedral runs the Southwark Singing Programme.

CONFIRMATION ENROLMENT PROGRAMME

The Cathedral Confirmation Programme for children in Year 9 and above has now commenced. Please contact Gisela: edmcathedral@rcaos.org.uk.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PROGRAMME

Registration for St George's First Holy Communion programme (for primary school children aged 7 to 11 years) is now open. Please register here. Deadline for registrations is 30 November.
