St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, formally the Metropolitan Cathedral Church of St George, is the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Southwark, which covers the London boroughs south of the Thames, the county of Kent and the Medway Unitary Authority.

Music
St George's Cathedral has a well-established musical tradition, with a diversity of styles represented at the different Masses, ranging from congregational hymns and Mass settings at the 10am Family Mass sung by the Cathedral Consort youth choir, through plainsong and polyphony at the 12pm Solemn Mass sung by the Cathedral Choir of choristers and lay clerks. There is also a Junior Choir for younger children and the Cathedral runs the Southwark Singing Programme.

Jubilee Rosary Procession from St George’s Cathedral to Sacred Heart, Camberwell

You are advised that there is a joint Rosary Procession taking place with the parishioners and clergy from the Sacred Heart, Camberwell.

All are welcome to join the procession with Canon Michael, which will set off from the Cathedral at 3pm on Saturday 31 May. Please see the poster in the Cathedral for further information.
