St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, formally the Metropolitan Cathedral Church of St George, is the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Southwark, which covers the London boroughs south of the Thames, the county of Kent and the Medway Unitary Authority.

Music
St George's Cathedral has a well-established musical tradition, with a diversity of styles represented at the different Masses, ranging from congregational hymns and Mass settings at the 10am Family Mass sung by the Cathedral Consort youth choir, through plainsong and polyphony at the 12pm Solemn Mass sung by the Cathedral Choir of choristers and lay clerks. There is also a Junior Choir for younger children and the Cathedral runs the Southwark Singing Programme.

Sacred Heart of Jesus – Testimonials

Speakers Fr Edouard Marot (former Rector of Paray-le-Monial) and Alicia Beauvisage will share their testimonies regarding devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus at St George’s Cathedral on Thursday 6 October at 6.30pm.

Talks followed by Q&A and an opportunity to venerate the relic of St Margaret Mary Alacoque, Admission is free and all are welcome.
