St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, formally the Metropolitan Cathedral Church of St George, is the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Southwark, which covers the London boroughs south of the Thames, the county of Kent and the Medway Unitary Authority.

Music
St George's Cathedral has a well-established musical tradition, with a diversity of styles represented at the different Masses, ranging from congregational hymns and Mass settings at the 10am Family Mass sung by the Cathedral Consort youth choir, through plainsong and polyphony at the 12pm Solemn Mass sung by the Cathedral Choir of choristers and lay clerks. There is also a Junior Choir for younger children and the Cathedral runs the Southwark Singing Programme.

Life in the Spirit Celebration Evening

In thanksgiving for the success of the recent Life in the Spirit seminars held at St George’s Cathedral, there will be an evening of celebration on Tuesday 25 June between 7pm and 9pm, with prior refreshments available from 6pm in Amigo Hall.

Archbishop John will be celebrating Mass from 8pm. All are welcome to attend.
